Words of Encouragement... Take a Breath
To all the estranged parents and everyone else this applies to. Here are some words of wisdom snagged off social media from an unknown author...
I know it’s been a tough year.
Things haven’t gone your way and sometimes, you ended up in the wrong places doing the wrong things.
There were those days that nothing went right and you couldn’t catch a break.
Take a deep breath and realize that you made it through every challenge and obstacle that you thought would bring you down.
No matter now hard you fought, there were those times that you felt like you were drowning at every turn.
You may have had those days when you felt like crying at every moment and you couldn’t find the happiness.
But you still made it through all that.
You kept going, kept showing up.
You even had a smile on your face when most anyone else would have given up.
So... stop beating yourself up for what you didn’t do, what you couldn’t be and what you failed to become.
It’s a new Day and a new chance.
Let go of the failures, disappointments and guilt.
You're not defined by any of those, but rather how you respond, rise from the ashes and learn how to fly.
I’m not telling you it will be easy.
I’ll never say it won’t hurt a little.
There will still be hard days and tough times.
But you're stronger than anything that will come your way…
Maybe you don’t know just how amazing you are yet, but you’ll figure it out along the way.
Learn from the bad stuff, grow from the rough days and evolve.
Grow wiser.
Get stronger.
Rise up and decide to never stay down.
You know what?
You may not get everything you want, but you’ll get what you need and end up where you need to be.
And when you look back from the top of the mountains you’ve had to climb, you’ll realize that it’s been worth it, every step of your journey.
Keep going.
It will only get better.
You got this.
