estrangement and abuse

Every time I addressed something that bothered me, I became the problem. 

I would hear “it’s always about you!!” “Always the victim.”

That went on for years and along with constant lies. I tried everything. Nothing worked.

I ALWAYS heard, “it’s not always about you Mom” complete with an eye roll everytime.

"Way to make it about you mom!"...I hate hearing that.

Yep. You become the narcissist.

This was the playbook of my ex and which my youngest two adopted from his modeling. 

Abuse, plain and simple.

I thank God to be free of that. God help the one he just proposed to. She has no idea what she's getting herself into. 

And, God help my daughters.
