Motherhood

Being a mother highlighted all my shortcomings and strengths, reordered all my priorities, made me care less yet care more about myself, and completely changed how I view the world. I thank God for opportunity to raise three amazing humans.

As devastating as being estranged from two of them as adults is, I am grateful for the years I raised them. I experienced profound love and joy along with the challenges.

Blood, sweat, and tears... but worth it. It's why my heart aches. Great love with no place to go for two of them.
